Categories of Metallizing Wear Supply

  • Resistance to Abrasive Wear

Abrasion indicates that pliable material has been removed by surface of stiff material, or by stiff particle in between of two surfaces. According to different level of abrasive, it can roughly classify Gouging, Scratching, and Incision…etc. General materials that supply to Abrasive Wear are WC, CrC, A1O, CrO ,and Ni-Cr-B-SiC…etc.

  • Resistance to Erosive Wear

Erosion usually creates by conflict of solid particle, liquid drop, and gas. General materials that supply to Erosive Wear are WC, CrC, A1O, CrO ,and Ni-Cr-B-SiC…etc.

  • Resistance to Surface Fatigue

Machine parts’ metal material may cause tiredness on surface of machine parts during running periodically with burden, therefore; this tiredness may caused machine parts’ broken.  General materials that supply to Surface Fatigue divide into two parts. One is using in the environment that under 540, including Aluminum bronze, Cu-Ni-In, and Cu-Ni…etc. The other one is using in the environment that above 540, including WC and Co-Cr-Ni-W…etc.

  • Resistance to Adhesive Wear

When two sliding sides slid to each other under pressure, these two will generate adhere and stick together. And then, these two sides will abrade to each other. This abrasion will not only damage sliding sides, but also generate Cavitations easily, moreover; make machine parts broken. General material that supply to Adhesive Wea divided into Soft Bearing Coatings and Hard Bearing Coating. Soft Bearing Coating includes Aluminum bronze, Sn, Babbitt, and Tobin Bronze…etc. Hard Bearing Coating includes A1O, TiO, WC, Ni-Cr-B-Si, Mo, High-carbon steel, Co-Mo-Cr-Si, and Fe-Mo-C…etc.

  • Resistance to Corrosive Wear

In eroding environment, surfaces’ interaction of environment and material will generate reactant, and this kind of reactant usually will remain on the rough side. This rough side will cause materials’ touching sector to generate crevice, and then cause damage. General materials that supply to Corrosive Wear are Zn, Al, Aluminum & Zinc Alloys, and Aluminum metal ceramic composites…etc.

  • Thermal Barrier Coating, TBC

Thermal Barrier Coating has well protection under high temperature environment. TBC‘s main character is it has very low heat conductibility to protect material won’t hurt by high temperature. General material that supply to TBC is Yttria-stabilized zirconia, YSZ. This kind of material has well Thermal Shock & Heat Corrosion Resistance Spraying when uses above 1150.
